Want Perfect Teeth?

Perfect teeth are a dream for most people, who deal with failing silver fillings and the cycle of new decay, bigger fillings, and crowns.  For a smile that's free of decay and fillings, you'll want to work with an advanced dentist.  Dr. Spurling has extensive training experience and technology to provide you with that smile.  Same-day crowns by CEREC technology is a very popular and efficient method we use as part of our cavity control program.

So What Is CEREC?

CEREC is an advanced dental restorative system that allows your dentist to restore decayed teeth, replace crowns, remove defective amalgam fillings, or place cosmetic veneers in one appointment. CEREC provides you with a high-tech, quality solution.

CEREC Is A Process

The Preparation

With a minimally invasive plan unique to your needs, Dr. Spurling and his team will comfortably ready the tooth for the bonded restoration. The preparation is done under a microscope to ensure all decay and any microfractures are properly treated and bonded with a biobase. The biobase is an advanced technique only used by top clinicians to effectively seal off the most sensitive and vulnerable part of the tooth prior to applying the restoration.

Optical Impressions

Once the teeth are prepared and properly sealed with the biobase, Dr. Spurling and his team will make an optical scan of the teeth with the CEREC imaging unit.  Computer-aided design is used to virtually design your restoration in minutes.

No Temporaries

Next, the design data is sent over to a milling machine in the reception area.  Patients are fascinated to watch the process. In just 10-20 minutes later, your all-ceramic, tooth-colored restoration is ready to prepare for bonding. Finally, your restoration is seamlessly fit to your mouth. The result is permanent, and there are no "temporaries,” no impression “goop” or return visits.
